This town is terribly fond of its celebrations, isn’t it?

“I missed you.” Katherine almost smiled, but it was soon replaced with a smirk. “I’m hungry, and I hear you’ve still got the fridge of blood in the basement.” Of course, she wouldn’t force him to let her inside. If she had to, she’d just go find someone random to feed on, as long as it wasn’t a child. That always seemed to be her dibility, children. She knew precisely why, though.
Katherine had stories, none particularly interesting but she had learned more about the Originals when she was away than she had in Mystic Falls and from the Originals themselves. No one told her much about them, so she was, however, still slightly clueless.
”I wish I could say the same.” Why was it so much easier to be cold with Katherine. If only he could carry on the same coldness with the rest of the townsfolk of Mystic Falls. Everything would have been so much easier if he’d never gotten attached to all of them. Making them hate him would have been effortless, but Stefan just had to go and try to make a life for himself. Foolishly thinking he could have human moments, without consequences. Maybe that’s why it was easier to be harsh with her, a small part of him still resented her. “Empty. I went on a binder.” Pursing his lips, Stefan cocked his head.
“You’re welcome to go grocery shopping at the library with me.” Where there was sure to be young humans, blood clean of alcohol. His favorite. There was only one way he liked his scotch, and it was straight up.
Katherine rolled her eyes. She understood why everyone treated her so coldly. She’d done nothing but ruin their lives since day one, and if she’d had the choice? Of course she would change that, but she wouldn’t openly admit it. “You emptied the entire fridge?” She rose an eyebrow before smirking. “Mr. Salvatore, it seems as though you can’t control yourself anymore. Shame, really.” Of course, he probably had better control than most of the people she knew.
“Oh, Stefan..” Katherine sighed dramatically, placing her hands on her hips. “Shopping at the library?..Sounds interesting. I suppose going with you would give me something to do, and someone to eat.”
